Terms and conditions of reviewing, submitting and accepting articles

The journal of Water Resources and Climate Change (WRCC) follows the policies and guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and abides by its Code of Conduct in dealing with potential cases of misconduct. 

The journal of Water Resources and Climate Change (WRCC) uses a double-blind peer-review process. The peer-review process, from submission to the first decision, takes less than three months.

The process of accepting an article from submission to final publication

The journal of Water Resources and Climate Change (WRCC) is committed to ensuring integrity in the peer-review process. A corresponding author submits the paper to the journal of Water Resources and Climate Change (WRCC), and then the editor-in-chief checks both the paper's originality and its subject to be appropriate for the journal. If not, the paper will not be accepted for review. If the paper is appropriate, it would be assigned to one of the associate editors by the editor-in-chief to handle the peer review process. The associate editor finds two appropriate reviewers for the paper and sends invitations to them. Accepting to review the manuscript, the reviewers take notes so as to build a detailed point-by-point review. The review is then submitted to the journal, with a recommendation to accept, reject, or a request for revision. The associate editor considers all the returned reviews. If the reviews differ widely, the associate editor may invite an additional reviewer so as to get an extra opinion before making a decision. The overall decision will be made by both the handling editor and editor-in-chief. A decision email is then sent to the author including any relevant reviewer comments.
